ECER WELCOME RECEPTION - Civic Reception Courtesy of The Rt Hon The Lord Provost Councillor Jacqueline McLaren

The Cloisters (also known as The Undercroft) connect the East and West quadrangles and lead inside the Gilbert Scott Building to the stunning Bute Hall, where the University’s graduation ceremonies are held, and the Hunterian Museum. With their fluted columns and transverse ribbed vault, these impressive archways are an iconic part of the University and have been seen onscreen in many films and TV shows including Cloud Atlas and Outlander.

There will be alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and some delicious canapés; and delegates will be able to meet old and new friends in this delightful ambience.

SCHOOL OF EDUCATION OPEN HOUSE

The School of Education is hosting this event in the St Andrew’s Building. The Head of School has invited delegates to meet our academic staff and discuss our work in Scotland and in international contexts. They will also be able to enjoy some alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and some delicious canapés. There will also be an opportunity to dance at the traditional Scottish ceilidh in the gym area.
