Contribution
The scientific literature and the official texts reveal new scholar practices of teaching like health education, environment education, citizenship education, etc.
The theoretical framework to which we refer designs health education not as a conditioning but as a whole of activities who aims at helping each young person to gradually adapt the means of operating choices in a free way, to adopt behaviours responsible, for itself as with respect to the others and for the environment. Health education is not the business of specialists; it concerns the daily action of the educational community
Many works supports the assumption according to which it is the way in which the teachers seize this object and register it in the middle of the trainings in several school forms concerned with their ordinary practices which conditions the success of health education.
Most of the time, the implementation of new objects of instruction is for most of teachers “one more thing to do” and health education finds hardly a place in the school even if it is included in the curriculum.
These practices are at the same time individual (practices of class) and collective (project on the scale of the school, bonds with the parents, partnerships…).To develop health in a holistic and ecologic approach to child development, the school must realize that it can not do ES alone (Jourdan, 2006) and must involve with families, Public health structures, networks and municipal associations.
Method
For this study, we asked 20 heads of primary schools gather for 2 years all business records in connection with health education in order to better understand the mechanisms of ownership stakes of education health.
Interviews were conducted as a supplement to different categories of actors that constitute our system of validity
Expected Outcomes
Initial analyses show that the collective work, such as setting up committees (health committee, committee sport) allows teams to anchor health education issues at the heart of learning through collective operations and support appropriation.
