The phrase "grounded theory" refers to theory that is developed inductively from a corpus of data. "Grounded theory" is a qualitative approach to data analysis. As more researchers use qualitative methods and grapple with the problems of interpreting data; indeed the analysis of the data is an interpretation processes. Across three different type of data, come from two different empirical research (one based on observations, the other one based on interviews and both of them use notes from field diaries) the aim of this poster is drawing out the features of grounded theory analysis method. This comparison shows the applicability of using grounded theory to analyze and interpret different type of data, shows the flexibility and the strength of this method and, last but not least, explores the potential applications.
