Contribution
This research is purposed to explore the current situation of education research’s review, assessment and ethical mechanism in the UK, the US, Germany, France and Australia, and the merits and the shortcomings of the mechanism and the ways to improve the mechanism in those countries. This exploration is based on the perspective of comparative education and the viewpoints of critical pedagogy, the knowledge or power ideas of M. Foucault and academic tribe of T. Bechner and is carried out by the ways of comparative education, focus group interview and critical discourse analysis. The research result includes, firstly, the investigations on the regulations of review, methods of review, procedures of review, qualifications of reviewers and the appeal procedures of review of education research projects, research outcome and journal articles in the five countries stated above; and secondly, the exploration of the practice and difficulties of the ethical code of these five countries and the possible ways to revise it.
