Contribution
This study is on the innovation of school organization in some city of Korea. Recently, Korean areas progressive superintendents of education are elected by election nominate 'innovation school' and draw innovation of existing school organization. The objective of this research is to show experiences of leader teachers of 5 'innovation schools' who tried innovation of school organization analytically. In Korea, school innovation is recently publicized. The first reason is the judgement that school lost most part of educational functions because of the excessively entrance examination-focused education. In other words, there is a judgement that excessively cramming method of knowledge for entrance examination encourages passivization of students, neither enhances spontaneity of students nor helps them preparing their future creatively. Second, it's judged that the entrance examination-focused education of Korean schools degraded teachers to assistants for outcome principle like robots. In this situation, teachers are in a crisis of professionalism educational purposes and missions are lost by mannerism. Until now, Korea has made lots of administrative or educational efforts to change school organization positively, but there were limitations for changing schools. Progressive superintendents of education intended to change school organization newly with a concept of ‘innovation school’ and a new standpoint different from previous standpoints were adopted. It's rightly 'a cultural standpoint'. Therefore, this research is interested in innovative mechanism of cultural aspect rather than administrative․organizational aspect.
