Contribution
The theme of this paper is the improvement and quality improvement of Education (especially schools).
The transition of information technology and the arrival of the intelligent era are constantly innovating and reshaping people's way of living and thinking, which means that the social demand for new individual and collective abilities is also increasing and changing. In this regard, education urgently needs to make necessary changes to meet the challenges of the current complex world with a new educational paradigm and realize its important role in human development.
Facing the uncertainty of the future, how to grasp the key and non key changes is a difficult problem for future educational research. The education system in China and even the world will encounter this problem when making future education planning. Future education planning can easily become a model that decision makers imagine and practitioners follow step by step. This past model is neither scientific nor sustainable.
As a new perspective and method of future educational research, scene has solved this problem well and attracted the attention of more and more scholars all over the world. Chinese scholars are not familiar with this research perspective and method, let alone use this method for future educational research. Therefore, this paper expounds the connotation and basic attributes of the scene, quotes and analyzes the typical cases of international future education research from the perspective and research methods of the scene, and applies the scene method to many middle schools in Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and other places in China, in order to localize the method and model in China's context and national conditions, Make it a scientific and effective method and tool to improve the quality of future education in schools and local areas.
This study borrows Herman Kahn's definition of scene. He is the first futurist who advocates using scene as a method to clarify thinking about the future. He believes that scene is "a set of hypothetical events set in the future to clarify possible causal chains and their decision points".
This study uses complex system theory as a theoretical perspective. Edgar Moran is a famous contemporary French thinker and a representative of complex system theory. He put forward the "complex thinking paradigm". This kind of thinking aims to criticize the traditional thinking mode of simplified rationalism represented by the methodology of classical science, and seek to establish a complex thinking mode that can integrate all kinds of knowledge by expounding the complexity of reality.
The complex system theory makes us realize that the future school education is in a nonlinear, generative, evolutionary and always in motion process, and the development of school reform may also have many directions and forms. Secondly, the future school education reform is an overall reform form, not a direct patchwork of parts. Third, the future school education reform is carried out under a certain social and historical background and cultural conditions, which has the characteristics of natural culture and value. Fourth, the complex system theory provides methodological guidance for exploring the practice of school education reform in the future. The practical process of school education in the future has the characteristics of specific scenes and culture, which requires us to use observation, experiment, action research and scene method to explore the specific practical path, rather than using universal and objective methods.
Method
This study uses the scene method as the research method. Spaniol and other scholars found through word frequency analysis that the existing scene definitions involve six types of high-frequency words (sorted by frequency): "future orientation", "external background (including events, environment, situation, etc.)," reasonable possibility "," narrative description "," systematic phrases "and" relative difference ". Although there are different opinions on the definition of scene, based on the word frequency analysis, we can find the common connotation of the concept of scene: first, the scene has the time attribute rooted in the future and widely refers to the development of external factors; The scene should also be reasonable and credible, usually in the form of story or narrative description; Scenes should exist in the form of a group or set, and this group of scenes are systematically coexisted with each other as meaningful and different alternatives with their own value. Based on these characteristics, this study carried out the practice of scene method. This study critically uses the future school education scenario description framework used in the OECD back to the future of Education: four OECD scenarios for learning released in 2020. It conducts research in multiple middle schools in Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and other places in China, concentrating school leaders, middle-level cadres, young teachers, local education department personnel and community related personnel in the same place, Discuss and describe the future development of school and local education, collect some scales, charts and keywords, analyze them and draw conclusions.
Expected Outcomes
1. This study found that the scene method can better present the expectations, concerns and suggestions of various subjects inside and outside the school (such as school leaders, middle-level cadres, young teachers, education department personnel and community related personnel) for the future education of the school and local governments. In addition, the scene method is also an important way for all subjects to communicate and integrate their views. In China, school leaders will have great difficulties in two dimensions: one is to make the ideas of school leaders pass from top to bottom, and the other is to make the ideas of school leaders from inside to outside or from outside to inside, such as reaching a consensus with the ideas of superior government departments, education departments, communities and families. This also makes the efficiency and quality of educational viewpoint integration very low. The scenario method can not only make the results of local future education more scientific and accurate, but also make it more free and democratic in the process. 2. There will be some historical and cultural problems in the practice of scenario method in China. For example, participants in scenario planning are more inclined to listen to the opinions of high-ranking leaders or government personnel in the group. Therefore, this study proposes that people of different types and power levels can be divided into different groups, and the organizers coordinate and give certain interactive communication between groups. This way can avoid the drowning of the views of "bottom" practitioners. In addition, the study also found that practitioners are easy to deviate from the actual situation of regions and schools in future education planning. Therefore, in the practice of scenario method, a certain quantitative framework should be given, which will make the scenario more objective and real.
