Contribution
Since the mid of the 1990th the stable line organisation change (in especially innovative industrial sectors) slowly to so called “project oriented organisations”. The objective of the organisational change is to organise a context to support the temporary work processes: the objective is to organise (1) a project oriented environment to (2) support project work to (3) support innovations (product innovations, process innovation, cultural innovation etc.). Importance: Temporary work processes (projects) are instruments to organize innovations in and between organisations. In europe integrated innovations networks have already established and are focused by the research framework programme (FP 7). Temporary work processes (TWP) are in innovative branches already the rule and not anymore exceptions. Siemens, just to give one example, runs already more than 50 % of their business work on the fundaments of TWP. But: All innovations are organised in project but not all projects are leading to innovations. Hypotheses: Our hypotheses after observing the change of such an organisation is: The organisation use organisational logic coming from the beginning of the 20th century to address work problems from the 21th century: It seems that organisational contradictions arise while the organisations try to integrate project work organisation in line organisations. Theoretical Framework: We developed first on an intensive literature base a theoretical framework (“framework to systematise organisational contradictions”). Research Question: Which organisational contradictions arise if organisations try to organise temporary work processes cand innovations?
