Symposium
Contribution
Within global changes of knowledge economies, in Higher Education new programs are on the rise, starting to adress systemic and transdisciplinary approaches for transformation. Focusing on intentional processdesign and creation, complex change and transformation of organized systems, those programs adress „systemdesign“, inter- and transdisciplinary cooperation, interprofessional coordination, institutional networking, open innovation and systemic intervention. The rising relevance of those programs can be analyzed as „indicators“ of a global discourse in knowledge production and distribution. They show the global shifts in what is regarded as „relevant knowledge“. As University and Higher Education is a space of production and creation of new knowledge itself, here, new guiding images of the „transprofessional“ transformational agent are created: Is the „systemdesigner“, the „future-designer“, the „cross system innovator“, the „social entrepreneur“, the „kaos pilot“, the „pioneer of change“ a new transprofession on the rise? Do Higher Education Programs produce a homogenious model of a transprofession? Which one of the approaches taken will become the dominant model - and which knowledge is rather placed in a marginalized position? And finally: What does this shift mean for university – on its way to a more and more developmental function for society?
