Annual Report 2012, Cadiz

In 2012, Network 1 offered 36 sessions that included 91 paper presentations, 4 symposia (5 sessions, 23 papers), one joint sessions (with NW13), and 6 posters within the programme of 14 sessions (Tuesday noon through Friday).  Network 1 presenters came from 24 European countries as well as from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Iran, Izrael, Japan, New Zeeland, Turkey, Mexico, and the USA, all together 33 countries. Attendance varied from 8 to more than 35 per session.

Session themes for 2012 included induction and mentoring, different aspects of teachers’ and organizational learning, leadership development, CPD for experienced professionals, contexts that support or hinder CPD, contexts that require CPD (e.g., multilingualism, diversity), collegiality, school and organisational development and sustainability, classroom aspects, teacher assessment, epistemic beliefs, ecologies of practices, action research, the role of feedback, professional identity and policy, theorethical and practical aspects of research, and CPD in alternate professions.

ECER 2013 will take place in Istanbul, Turkey.  Submission deadline for proposals will be February 1, 2013.  Contributors of proposals are reminded that proposals may be scheduled on any day of the conference.
