The NW1 convenor team is organized into two smaller teams with specific responsibilities for the ECER conference organization led by Link Convenors, Ken Jones and Hannu Heikkinen: Ken, Stefan Zehetmeier and Amanda Ince are the ECER programme planning team and Hannu, Mihaela Mitescu-Manea, Giorgio Ostinelli and Sally Windsor are responsible for the reviewing process. Mentoring and succession planning for key EERA roles are therefore built in to the programme team.
The first Network 1 blog was published: 'Multi-dimensional professional learning: a leadership perspective' by Ken Jones.
A number of projects have been set up (see below for more details):
- Ecologies of Teacher Induction and Mentoring in Europe (TIME) coordinated by Hannu
- A book proposal has been submitted to a major publisher and currently in review: Teacher professional learning and development: theory, policy and practice (A European perspective) Edited by Ken Jones. Giorgio Ostinelli and Alberto Crescentini
The highlights of this year's conference were the high quality of papers presented, the extended international reach of submissions as a result of the online format and the high number of participants attending the Network 1 meeting (56 attendees).
