Annual Report 2023, Glasgow

The Convenor group did not have an opportunity to meet physically since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020. So, this year was the first year since ECER 2019 that we were able to meet in person. Re-connecting as a group as well as a transnational working network was our main goal of the year, and it was also a significant highlight.

A further highlight was an early career workshop that we organised in cooperation with the Emerging Researcher Group using Serious Lego Play, designed and led by outgoing Network Link Convenor, ML White. The workshop demonstrated the potential of the method as an instrument for reflection and as a tool for teacher education, but unfortunately, the duration was very short, which limited what we could do. However, the workshop was helpful for establishing contacts with new (teacher education) researchers and connecting with early career researchers.

ML stepped down as Network Link Convenor this year. Anna Beck has now stepped in for ML as Network Link Convenor and Marita Cronqvist is shadowing us for a handover of Susann’s position in 2024 or 2025.

Each network holds a Network Meeting during ECER and invites interested researchers to join. We have collected the network meeting minutes.
