Annual Report 2018, Bolzano

Overview of the last ECER : Bolzano, Italy

  • What was ECER beyond numbers for your network?

During the last year (since ECER2017), most of the members were working on writing papers to the special issue of the "Journal of Quality Assurance in Education" – named: "Assessments and Quality Assurance in School". Meeting in Bolzano after writing one to another during the year allowed all of the NW members to developed new ideas for co-writing in the future.

  • How was the quality of the sessions (as described in the Session Return Slips, for example)?

The quality of the sessions was above average, and both presenters and participants emphasized that the topics were relevant to the NW. Discussions were taken after each session and the English language was used very well.

Nevertheless, for the future, there was a request to make sure that all presentations for each session will focus on the same topic.

The numbers of presentations were more than last year.

52 acceptances from which 42 papers, 4 posters, and 1 symposium

  • Was there something special / new at this year’s conference?

During the NW meeting the format of the Special Issue in the "Journal of Quality Assurance in Education" was presented for all.

  • Collaborated with other networks

There was one JS that went very well. For the future- more JS are recommended.
