The number of submissions to NW11 of EERA's ECER conference continues increasing year by year. ECER2024 showed a 12% increase in submissions compared to ECER2023. The number of posters has increased considerably - we received a record number of 13 posters this year. The quality of submissions remains at the same level.
The main achievement of the ECER2024 for NW11 is the Best Poster Award for the poster 'Evidence-based Solutions for Effective Professional Development and Assessment of the Transfer of its Results into Practice: Research Project's Conceptualisation' by Sanita Baranova, Svetlana Surikova, Dita Nīmante and Maija Kokare from the University of Latvia. It has to be highlighted that the Best Poster Award was won in the competition among 104 posters.
The honorary network member, ex-Link Convenor Prof. Samuel Gento has expressed the following aim of NW11 in his blog published to celebrate EERA 30th anniversary: 'The fundamental purpose of Network 11 has been to improve quality of education at its different levels and modalities. To this aim, we propose to investigate the procedures and strategies that contribute to a constant improvement of education. This will have an impact on an improvement in situations and conditions of every person, both in their personal sphere, as well as in the social, economic and stability ones in their particular context'. These values are the core values that we are observing in educational research be it educational practice at schools, universities, adult education centres or analysis of regional, national and international level initiatives.
