After ECER 2003 in Hamburg work in Network 12 has concentrated on the further development of the PERINE project: www.dipf.de/perine/start/frameset.htm
PERINE is the concrete manifestation of some of the purposes of Network 12. The content of the PERINE website complements this report in addressing Network 12-related activities during the period. PERINE also provides a focus for communications related to the interests of the Network during the periods between annual EERA conferences. The project has an open email list at www.jiscmail.ac.uk/lists/perine-network.html. This list is aimed at those with an interest in the "Europe-wide transmission of information about educational research".
During ECER in Crete the most concrete product coming from PERINE, the internet resource catalogue for users and producers of educational research, was demonstrated and discussed in a session of the pre- conference for post-graduates and new researchers. During the main conference demonstrations of PERINE were offered every day.
The networks own paper-sessions took up the following themes:
- Empirical studies of educational researchers' use of information services on the World Wide Web.
- The library learning environment as part of the university educational environment.
- The measurement of the productivity of educational research by bibliometric tools
