Annual Report 2010, Helsinki

Network 12 had a rather successful ECER 2010. Also this year our network registered a slightly increasing number of presentations. We started ECER 2010 with our usual overview about the provision of information about educational research in selected European countries (presentations from Germany, Austria, France and Sweden). Other lectures were about: «Web search between computer fluency and information literacy», «Search information strategies with academic purposes amongst university students», «Comparison between a VET-related search query in an Internet search engine and a subject-specific information ressource», «Information retríeval in the field of education» and «Integrating European research on quality assessmentand multiliguality in professional information services on education»

In our network business meeting we had the painful duty to say good-bye to our longstanding member from Austria, Elfriede Tajalli, who will retire at the end of 2010. She was for many years one of the main pillars of our network. She was always ready for collaborative work and never lost her enthusiasm. We will severely miss her and wish her all the best for the coming years. Alexander Botte instead will be the new link convenor from now on, together with Peter Meyer. Chiara Ravagni (Italy) will be a new reviewer and Britten Ekstrand (Sweden) a new member of our network.

Each network holds a Network Meeting during ECER and invites interested researchers to join. We have collected the network meeting minutes.
