Annual Report 2014, Porto

Annual Report 2014, Porto

Considering the number of participants, we can say that 2014 was the best conference for the research on partnership in education network. It was also perhaps the most diverse in terms of the kinds of research partnerships persented. We see every year more participation and the methodology workshop was much better attended in its second year.

In a quantitative way, 12 sesssions were organised with in average of 18 participants by session (papers and workshop) and 25 for the 4 symposia.
There was more theoretical focus in the presentations this year.

The network is better organized now and contacts are created with activities that go beyond the time of the conference week. This is for example the establishment of a round table for 2015 and thinking about summer schools. A successful rapprochement has been made for two years now with network 8 "Research on Health Education", network 14 "Communities, Families schooling" and network 18 "Sport pedagogy". Two joint sessions were organised.

Network Meeting

Unfortunately, the publication we wanted to achieve and which involved the symposium of Cadiz (2012) failed to find a publisher although all the texts were written.  However, a new solution was proposed at the Network Meeting.

For ECER 2015, 6 reviewers are proposed to help convenors. A round table around Theoretical approach of the Partnership will be organized. The idea of the summer schools is again proposed but seems difficult to organize for 2015. We were encouraged that colleagues from other networks attended the meeting (e.g. 22 Higher Education and 25 Children's Rights) and we hope for more joint sessions to emerge from this.

Each network holds a Network Meeting during ECER and invites interested researchers to join. We have collected the network meeting minutes.
