Network 16 concentrates on 'ICT in education and training'. For ECER 2009, more than 75 proposals for presentations were reviewed. About 60 proposals were accepted and almost all of these were presented at the conference. Three symposia were held, while the other presentations were grouped in sessions. Most presentations referred to different ways to use ICT in teaching and learning. Another issue was the development of ICT to optimise school processes or outcomes. Some presentations focused on specific theoretical or quantative empirical aspects of using or developing ICT in eduction and (other) professional situations.
In 2009 we also prepared a proposal for the development of a website that will include the already existing mailing list, to further promote the exchange of information and collaboration between researchers in the network. EERA funds this activity with a small amount of money (see below). We shall focus on a mailing list and, as a second step, create a database to present information from the network. The database will be linked to the conference tool system, if possible.
