Annual Report 2015, Budapest
At ECER 2015 in Budapest more presentations were given within the framework of Network 16 as compared to ECER 2014. A total of 44 paper presentations were given and 5 posters were presented. In addition, 5 joint symposia and 1 network symposium were scheduled.
Themes included the integration of ICT in classrooms, pedagogical practices and ICT, self-regulated learning, information literacy, digital skills, learning with tablet computers, social media and learning, ICT and cooperative learning, and innovative learning environments. Presenters originated from various European countries, but presentations were also given by researchers from the United States, Australia, South America, and Africa.
Sessions were well attended, and presentations invoked engaging discussions.
A symposium on technology enhanced learning environments was organised by one of the members of Network 16. In addition, four joint symposia with Network 9 ('Assessment, Evaluation, Testing and Measurement') were scheduled. These symposia focused on outcomes of the IEA International Computer and Information Literacy Study (ICILS 2013) and provided a detailed overview of this topic in various European countries. Apart from this, a joint symposium with Network 6 ('Open Learning: Media, Environments and Cultures') was scheduled, focusing on European perspectives on the instructional design of e-learning.
