Annual Report 2016, Dublin
The 2016 conference schedule for our network included 43 paper presentations, 1 video presentation, 3 symposia, and 7 posters. Unfortunately, there were some late withdrawals and no-shows, mainly presenters from Turkey who were not able to participate.
Themes included the implementing of ICT in educational practice, ICT and social networking, mobile learning, virtual reality, 21st century skills, ICT and language teaching, E-assessment, developing teachers' competencies, developing digital literacy, and recent developments in technology enhanced learning. Presenters originated from various European countries, but presentations were also given by researchers from the United States and Asia,
There were 2 joint sessions: a session with Network 6 (Open Learning: Media, Environments and Cultures) and a session with Network 24 (Mathematics Education Research). Sessions were well attended and presentations invoked engaging discussions.
A video presentation was included as a new format. This was perceived as an attractive addition to the available formats. The joint sessions with networks 6 and 24 allowed for exchanging views with other networks and engaging discussions.
