Annual Report 2012, Cadiz
For ECER 2012, NW 17 received 63 submissions; 57 were accepted: 33 papers, 0 posters, 0 round tables, 1 research workshop, 4 symposia (with a total of 19 symposium papers). 12 papers and 4 symposium papers were withdrawn which means that 41 contributions were presented.
The programming task was not easy to accomplish either because of the topics or because of the (almost) continuous movement of withdrawals.
The papers were mainly very well placed and the attendance very good. We should remark that all of them closed with high quality discussions. Some of the delegates reported they had difficulties in arriving on time because of the distances to run. Despite the logistic issues and the high rate of withdrawals it has been a very good Conference regarding the scientific quality, the collective reflection as well as the emerging of further inter-national partnerships around some of the research topics.
