Annual Report 2014, Porto

This year we planned three key H2020 Themed Symposia. These themes were drawn from the work of Leif and Peter and link Convenors in Berlin. We invited leaders in our field to deliver on them. Following each of the Themed Symposia, we timtabled a roundtable discussion to allow delegates to tease out issues arising.  The format increased the numbers of delegates attending our  N18 sessions from 10 in 2013 to 50 in 2014.  We have also planned to enhance this work by submitted a N18  Symposium to AIESEP Madrid In addition, we joined forces with N8 and N30.  This was a very worthwhile endeavour with excellent discussion. We have already begun planning to do more of this type of knowledge exchange in ECER 2015.

We felt that a more focused approach to our planning yielded dividends for members of N18.
