Network 18 had another good year at the ECER conference. The sessions were well attended, and the standard of presentations was generally high. We had presenters from a wide range of countries (from across Europe and beyond) and several contributors were presenting for the first time. We also included a number of joint sessions within the programme, including some with the Health Education, Inclusion, Gender Education and Children's Rights networks. These were viewed positively by participants and were particularly successful when well-promoted by relevant link convenors. However, there were some parallel joint sessions and this reduced numbers in some cases. At this year's conference, we had an invited presentation from Dr Claude Scheuer who is the President of CEREPS (Conseil européen des recherches en éducation physique et sportive). This was an opportunity for an extended presentation and some focused discussion regarding European projects and funding streams. This was in line with planned activities discussed last year within the Network Meeting.
