NW18 teamed up with SERA and their Physical Education network (ScotPERN) to run a joint symposium as part of 'Reconnecting EERA' on the 27th August. The symposium was originally planned as a ‘local context’ contribution within NW18’s programme of activities at the Glasgow conference, where it was intended to showcase some of the excellent Physical Education (PE) research that is taking place in Scotland. The event was attended by over 70 delegates from across Europe and provided an opportunity to share ideas and generate discussion around key issues relating to PE, health and well-being. A summary of the event is being prepared for an EERA blog piece. The planned NW18 specialist symposium on Creative and Innovative Methodologies to be held at Loughborough University (UK) in April 2020 had to be cancelled. This was a shame, as we had teamed up with BERA and the event had proved a sell out, attracting delegates from across the UK and Europe. The intention is to reschedule, but the situation doesn't currently allow for any planning around this. We will keep EERA posted.
