Annual Report 2010, Helsinki

There was an increase in the number of sessions in the network at ECER again this year, which we take as a healthy sign of a growing network. However, this growth does put increased demands on conveners and we therefore decided at this year’s business meeting; which was exceptionally well attended with over thirty participants, to extend the convener list by adding Christoff Maeder and Geoff Bright to the convener group. Christoff joins the group as a new member. Geoff as a replacement for Geri Smyth, who we would like to thank for seven years of hard work. Geri also volunteered to continue reviewing for us, which we thank her for as well. Sessions at this year’s conference were generally quite well attended but parallel sessions did prove problematic for attendance on at least two occasions. All sessions were attended by at least one convener and the sessions were generally, with two symposium exceptions, chaired by a convener.
