By over a hundred proposals and ca. 130 participants provided the basis for the VETNET programme at Geneva. The programme was structured into 30 sessions with a variety of topics, from analyses of VET policies, skills and competence development to analyses of workplace learning as well as to workshops on e-learning and social software.
The VETNET Opening Colloquium was followed by the question: “Can Europe Learn from the Swiss VET System?” The discussion was introduced by the opening speech of Prof. Rolf Dubs, University of St. Gallen (Switzerland) and it was commented by Rainer Bremer (Germany) and Annie Bouder (France).
The VETNET Forum discussed the role of the European Qualification Framework (EQF) for European VET Research and was chaired by Barbara Stalder (Switzerland) and Pekka Kämäräinen (Finland). The discussion was based in the inputs of Jörg Markowitsch Austria) and Georg Spoettl (Germany).
