Annual Report 2012, Cadiz
For the 2012 ECER conference, the VETNET programme featured three parallel sessions with 96 papers presented. We had 34 reviewers, the majority of whom were paper proposers. Attendance at sessions was positive, although by the last day of the programme, numbers dropped.
Themes addressed were: comparison of VET cultures, governance of VET systems, qualification frameworks, competence assessment, teachers and trainers vocational development, careers, transitions and guidance, work based learning, partnership of venues, social impact of VET provision, pedagogical support by digital media and other. A majority of papers were from Germany, the UK and Spain. VETNET is very international, with twenty countries represented including from the southern hemisphere, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand.
