Generally the ECER was an excellent meeting this year, in a beautiful city. We received many positive responses. The quality of the sessions was generally good, and they were on average well attended. The special call (on internationalisation of higher education) was a great succes and the connected symposium was very well attended, just as the additional seminar on Saturday, after the conference. We had several joint sessions, which worked out very well.
There were only some concerns about the variety within sessions, sometimes too many papers from one country were presented in the same session. There were also still some no shows. The network meeting went well, and was well attended. Another call from the European Journal of Higher Education was distributed amongst the attendants. On Friday evening we organized a well attended network dinner. We are planning another symposium in March 2019, organized by the network and funded by EERA on post-PhD careers.
