ECER 2023 in Glasgow was an undoubtedly important opportunity for many colleagues to meet and discuss in presence again after the pandemic. Within network 22, there were over 200 submissions mainly in paper format . This number includes papers for the Special Call titled “The role of diversity in bringing about organizational transformation” promoted by two co-convenors (Rosemary Deem and Liudvika Leisyte) that succeeded in attracting a significant set of good quality papers. There were also 5 symposium and one joint session with network 23 on Policy Studies and Politics of Education. Overall, there were good quality papers being presented and energizing discussions in the sessions.
During ECER 2023, the network 22 meeting was attended by almost 50 participants and the dinner on Thursday night was also a well appreciated opportunity to meet and discuss with others in an informal context.
Consequently, the NW22 mailing list has been expanded and reinforced as an useful tool for sharing information about publications, projects, conferences, etc., as well as to find partners to joint research activities.
A seminar online promoted by the network will take place on November 20th to present and discuss the research work that resulted in a special issue with the title “An international exploration of post-PhD careers. Discussing the issues of employability and intersectorial mobility” organized by Christine Teelken, Karen Andreasen, Andrea Galimberti and Annette Rasmussen and recently published at Studies in Higher Education .
