Annual Report 2026, Tampere

1) Preparation of one blog entry and one paper drawing on the network project titled “(EuroHE)European Research into Higher Education: portrait of trends within ECER Conferences“. Overall, the project signalled that ECER symposia promote international collaboration even if more diverse researchers and countries could be involved reinforcing the collaborative environment within NW22.

2) Seminar “Knowledge and Disciplines in Higher Education Research' with Felipe Sánchez Burgos and Vesna Holubek as guest speakers took place December 9th 2025 online

3) Seminar “Moving the Watershed: a critical perspective on doctoral education, towards inclusive (post) academic careers” took place February 13th 2026 at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Netherlands

4) ECER Tampere: 159 submissions were accepted for presentation within NW22. The majority were papers (146) but other formats (namely 2 panel discussions and 4 symposia) should also be highlighted as these sessions provide stimulating opportunities for deeper collaboration amongst researchers from various parts of Europe. Within NW22, 3 thematics axis attracted the highest numbers of submissions in ECER Tampere (in line with the trend in previous years): Teaching, Learning and Assessment in HE; Academic Work and Professional Development; Inclusion and Diversity in HE.

Each network holds a Network Meeting during ECER and invites interested researchers to join. We have collected the network meeting minutes.
