The special call ‘Education policy and the politics of education in an age of uncertainty’ attracted 23 papers and 4 symposia. This success will inspire future ideas, but the network will not issue these calls every year.
In 2024 the network met the ambitious goal to engage 30 reviewers. This figure seems a lot, but it is proportional to the number of papers received. Since each reviewer assessed 10 papers, it is important to acknowledge their important contribution to the organisation of the European Conference on Educational Research.
The network is progressively strengthening internal communication. The previous link convenor (Peter Kelly) opened channels to explicitly offer support during the edition phase and foster collaboration with emerging researchers. Internal communication procedures also encourage network members to contact the convenors to share ideas on activities and/or initiatives that will further promote inclusiveness and development of the network.
