Annual Report 2013, Istanbul
This year network 26 celebrated 10 years as a network. We have grown from 18 presentations at the ECER conference on Crete 2004 to 106 presentations during the conference in Istanbul 2013.
It is positive that the leadership network grows and gets more and more attention. We attract as an example research groups working on larger comparative research projects that prefer to present together during a symposium. Often these presentations have high quality.
We have not been able to attract researchers to present in workshops or round tables. This is a bit surprising since there is a push for more interaction and conversations. We had 3 joint sessions all of them were well attended and appreciated.
Even if the number of proposals is growing we have few rejections. Most of the proposals are well written. That does not stop us from having an internal discussion on quality. The focus in the presentations varied. Many was connected to policy and changed working conditions.
