Annual Report 2025, Belgrade

ECER 2025 The attendance at all sessions was up on previous years. Our room was too small for some presentations. All aspects of the conference worked well, transport, social events, and flow within the university for sessions.

a. We had a discussion on the need to make curriculum work more visible. To this end we will organize three on-line seminars in 25/26. The first on transdisciplinary approach for transformative learning in higher education will be hosted by Nienke Nieveen and colleagues from Eindhoven University of Technology.

b. Participants were encouraged to join the mailing list on the website here eera-ecer.de/networks/3-curriculum

c. The reviewing process worked well, and feedback was focused on bringing out the most pertinent curriculum features of the papers being presented. The quality of the papers submitted were generally of a very high standard. The posters submitted were of a very high standard this year. We had 53 papers presented, 4 symposium (with 14 papers), one workshop and six posters.

d. Chairing – feedback from the meeting was very positive on the chairing and no issues were reported.

e. Papers presented were of a high standard and most sessions were well aligned under a coherent topic. Some papers moved for various reasons, in some instances this meant one paper may not have aligned with central theme. However, as quality of papers was high, this did not take away from the experience. The poster presentations were of a very high standard. It was great to see the number of posters increase on last year.

f. Workshop – the workshop format worked really well this year and there was unanimous support for the inclusion of a workshop next year. Thanks to co-convenor Audrey Doyle and Nienke Nieveen on leading this initiative.

g. The four symposia were a great success.
