ECER 2022 in Yerevan was an exciting event. A long-awaited in-person reunion of the networks’ members stimulated fruitful discussions at the ECER in Yerevan that were then continued during the online sessions at the subsequent ECER plus. At ECER 2022, participants from 19 different countries presented their research in different formats (posters, ignite talks, papers, symposia, and a workshop) in NW 31. Two joint sessions were held in Yerevan in cooperation with other EERA networks. A particular program’s highlight was a joint session on literacy organized by three networks NW11, NW24, and NW31. Remarkably, many participants who took part at ECER in Yerevan were new to the network. We welcomed the new members at the network meeting and jointly developed ideas for future symposia, network projects, and publications. NW31 attaches particular importance to supporting emerging researchers within our network and within a broader EERA community. At ECER2022, we organized a workshop for emerging researchers, “Multiliteracies and Language Assessment in Linguistically Diverse Contexts,” that was held during the ERC. Furthermore, the network’s convenors introduced NW 31 to the emerging researchers during the ERC and invited them to attend the NW31’s meeting.
