Symposia and Paper Sessions: In Istanbul all 14 Symposia and Paper Sessions (including 42 presentations) were well attended, even the last ones on Friday afternoon. The number of participants per session ranged from 12-40. A broad range of themes was discussed: from media education at pre-school age to creativity in the network society. The quality of the presented papers and the discussions were quite good. A Poster Session (7 posters) was held as well. A big success was to invite members from other networks to present media oriented papers in Network 6 Symposia or Paper Sessions. Therefore, the network decided to organize joined Symposia with two other Networks during the next conference in Porto.
Network Meeting / Elections: 16 Members attended the Network Meeting in Istanbul. Mark Laanpere (Estonia), the former Link Convenor of Network 6, stepped down and a new Link Convenor, Petra Grell (Germany), was elected. Furthermore, there were 18 new persons who showed interest in Network 6 and put their e-mail adress on the Network 6 e-mail list.
