Corvinus University

Corvinus University, founded in 1846, has kindly provided its buildings and technical facilities for the venue. Its student body consists of  more than 17000 students studying at 6 faculties, 60 scientific programmes and 10 doctoral schools. Corvinus University won the “University of Excellence” award and the “Higher Education Quality Award” in 2010. In 2011 it was chosen as the best network university providing the best international and professional internships.

Hungarian Educational Research Association

ECER 2015 is a joint collaboration. It is organized by the Hungarian Educational Research Association (HERA), a member of EERA, in collaboration with the University of Debrecen and the University of Corvinus, Budapest. The Hungarian Educational Research Association provides a forum for all individual educational researchers in Hungary at all levels through events, seminars, conferences, networks and websites. It improves knowledge transfer and exchange among more than 150 members and others with an interest in educational research through discussion on current issues, preparation for joint projects and dissemination of findings. It has its online journal (HERJ) and highly recognized annual conference (HUcER)

University of Debrecen

The roots of higher education in Debrecen go back to the 16th century; however, the Hungarian Royal University was founded in 1912 in the city of Debrecen. In 2000 the colleges and universities of Hajdú-Bihar County were united, and, as a result, the University of Debrecen came into being with the largest student population in the country (about 32000).  The University of Debrecen has 15 faculties, 1400 lecturers spread across two University campuses in the city of Debrecen. It covers 14% of the research volume of the Hungarian Higher education and cultivates close relations with 400 partner institutions across Europe. Recently, the university was awarded the Excellent university award It facilitates the transfer of research results achieved at the University into business and industry, as well as the dissemination of innovation culture. For these reasons, the University of Debrecen was happy to be responsible for the financial organization of the ECER 2015.
