Getting to the Universität Hamburg

By Train

If you are travelling from outside of Hamburg, please alight the train at Hamburg-Dammtor station (not the main station “Hauptbahnhof”). If your train only goes to Hamburg main station (Hauptbahnhof), please take the S-Bahn line 1 (S11, S21, S31) from the underground platform (direction Blankenese, Elbgaustraße or Altona) to Dammtor station. It is just one stop.

From there, you take a 5 minute walk  to the main building of the Universität Hamburg (conference location). The main building is located close to the station Hamburg-Dammtor.

By Car

Unfortunately, there is no parking available at the university. That is why we recommend you use public transport whenever possible. We have however listed the best ways to get from the motorway to the venue here.

Parking
It is possible to use the Hotel Grand Elysée  or Congress Centrum Hamburg (CCH)  car parks. The car parks are subject to a parking fee (subject to availability). Both car parks are about a ten-minute walk away from the venue. Please note that CCH is currently under construction. Therefore, parking is currently limited.
