Andreas Gegenfurtner is a researcher on adult education and training at the Deggendorf Institute of Technology and professor of psychology with an emphasis on teaching and learning with digital media at the University of Passau. His keynote is entitled "Expertise and Professional Learning: Connecting Quantitative and Qualitative Perspectives".

ERC Workshops
On Monday afternoon, EERA networks organise workshops introducing questions within their research fields. The capacity-building workshops on Tuesday afternoon address issues typically relevant to Emerging Researchers: How to prepare a doctoral defence, how to publish, etc. Please register for these workshops on the first day of the ERC 2020, Monday 24 August 2020 starting at 8:00 at the EERA Desk.

Poster Awards at ERC 2020
During ERC, the Convenors and the Senior Mentor of the ERG select the best poster presented during the interactive poster sessions. Following a successful pilot in 2019, the ERC will continue to offer a "peer review poster award" in 2020.
