Child Care Services

We are pleased to inform you that during the ECER 2024 conference (26th August to 30th August), we have arranged for child care services at the UCY Nursery and Kindergarten "Lito Papachristophorou". This initiative is aimed at providing convenience and support to participants attending the conference with their children.

Participants can select this service through the EasyConferences Online Booking Platform at step 3 (Conference Extras). The cost for this service is 25 Euros per day, which is partially sponsored by ECER 2024. http://www.easyconferences.org/ecer2024/register

Please note the following important information:

  • The working hours of the Kindergarten are from 08:30 to 17:00.
  • Parents are responsible for providing the Kindergarten with the food for their children, including breakfast, lunch, and any other necessary meals.
  • Please ensure that you have your own insurance for your child(ren), as the Kindergarten is not responsible for providing it.
  • A health certificate for child(ren), signed by the child's doctor and issued in 2024, must be provided to the Kindergarten on the first day of their attendance.

Should you require any further information or assistance, please do not hesitate to contact the colleagues at info(at)easyconferences.eu.

Breastfeeding/Lactation Room at the University of Cyprus

  • To use the breastfeeding room, please visit the Local Help Desk. The volunteers will notify the responsible person to open the room for you.

The Diversity, Equality and Inclusivity Office, in collaboration with the Health, Safety and Environment Section, announces the operation of an exclusive and properly designed and equipped room for nursing mothers to breastfeed, express and store milk, and care their babies, thereby supporting nursing mothers of the university community (working women and students) but also nursing visitors, contributing at the same time to the encouragement of breastfeeding.

The breastfeeding room (Room B202, level -2, building ΧΩΔ02 (Common Teaching Facilities [CTF02]) is located in a physically separate area to protect the privacy of mother and child. It has a comfortable chair for breastfeeding or for expressing and storing milk and a baby care unit.

This room provides the opportunity for nursing mothers to care for their baby, in a beautifully decorated and quiet space, where they will feel comfortable and safe to breastfeed or express and store milk.

With the opening of the breastfeeding room, the University of Cyprus demonstrates in practice its sensitivity towards nursing mothers and its support on issues related to work life balance.
