You are warmly invited to attend this informal lunch session with experienced academics and the ERG co-convenors. We will help you chart your way through the conference program, understand the structure of EERA and how you can participate in the activities. It will be also a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow ‘emerging’ researchers.
During the event, you will have the opportunity to explore some of the themes below and network with other members of EERA teams at your table in order to learn more about ERG activities and EERA networks. Informal discussions with the experienced academics and co-convenors will ensure crucial insights.
As part of this special EERA 30th Anniversary Edition, Network representatives will provide valuable insights into their Network research topics over the past years. Attendees will also gain a deeper understanding of EERA's vision by hearing valuable insights from Senior Fellows. Join us for an enriching discussion as we explore the past, present, and future of educational research within the EERA community.
Among other topics that could be discussed are:
Doing Educational Research
We are pleased to announce that we will be joined by the Editors of ‘Doing Educational Research: Overcoming Challenges in Practice’. This SAGE/EERA book was developed as a result of feedback from PhD students and addresses challenges researchers have encountered in their projects. A number of examples are given here of how experienced researchers entered the field, and discussed and handled problematic research results when reporting them to the academic community. Moreover, it explores what it is like to conduct research in a foreign language, e.g. English, and how that may create a complex set of challenges from interpretation to communication of your research.
Networks, Networking and Development Opportunities
Connect with experts in your field by identifying your ideal network affiliation and attending their programs. Find more about opportunities and strategies to build your network during the conference and beyond.
ERG co-convenors
Meet the Emerging Researchers’ Group co-conveneors who will share their experiences as Early Career Researchers and provide helpful tips tomake the most out of the conference experience. Find out more about opportunities related to peer reviewing, best paper award, and becoming a co-convenor.
Converting your conference paper into a publication
Explore the unique opportunities offeredto participants at the Emerging Researchers’ Conference to maximize your publication success. Take advantage of the various feedback options offered by the conference, such as during and after your conference presentation.
