This study investigated teachers' judgements of instructional adaptations for inclusion in terms of how effective they are, and perceived training needs for implementation. Participants were 48 school teachers (24 elementary and 24 secondary teachers) recruited from two inservice courses focused on special education. Teachers rated eight general adaptations strategies and four specific curriculum adaptation strategies on both dimensions using a 5-point Likert-type scale. A 2 x 2 analysis of variance, where teaching efficacy (high vs low) and grade level taught (elementary vs secondary) were the between subjects factors, revealed that elementary and secondary school teachers do not differ on their perceptions about effectiveness and need of training to implement instructional adaptations, however, need of training vary significantly between low and high self- competent teachers.
