Currently, the contents of tutoring sessions carried out in the centres of secondary education are not defined, differing from the academic curriculum which is established by decree. The tutorial is expected to provide the pupils the necessary training to acquire basic moral values and to learn to think, to solve problems and to decide by him/herself, among others aspects. In this paper a health education programme concerning organ donation and transplantation is proposed in these tutoring sessions. The aim of this programme is to increase the information available about the topic, providing criteria to adopt a personal decision. With this aim, a group of tutors from several centres of education in Malaga participated in an informative seminar of the topic. Later, these tutors evaluated and instructed their pupils in three tutorial sessions. In general, the results indicated an increase in the knowledge of the process of donation-removal- transplant. Likewise, most of pupils support organ donation and have adopted a personal decision. The results suggest the suitability of including this health education programme in the tutoring sessions.
