The estate of Continuing Education, which is constanlty being broadened and distinguished in our days, is met diachronically within all societies and coincides chronically with periods of broader socio-political development, indicating a wide spectrum of educating processes for people's socialization.Today, Continuing Education constitutes a presupposition for the social cohesion, for the alleviation of the social disparities, for the economy's strengthening and, finally, for the competiveness propulsion with the supply of the labor market with more trained personnel. From the end of the decade of 80's, the greek universities, recognizing the need of development and consolidation of Lifelong Learning and Training, took action playing an active role within a series of relative movements which concern the teaching objects, the various programs and the creation of estates in the field of their responsibility. This research has as a purpose to evaluate the studies' quality in the Section of Continuing Education of the Department of Educational and Social Policy, their connection with the labour market and to explore the potentials of development and continuing education of these qraduates. This research is based, firstly, on the examination and the study of all the publications which are correlated with the assessment of the quality in higher education in Greece and, secondly, on the answers which were given by the graduates of the Department of Educational and Social Policy of the year 2001, 2002 and 2003, who, in fact, consist the first group of graduates up unitl the establisment of this Department, in 1997.Specifically, the methodology of this research is based on questionaires which were given to all the graduates of this Section by email and by post. This research tool, divided into 6 general units (Before the students' entry, after their entry, during the core cources, during the section studies, after their graduation and their recommendations), consists of 29 closed and 7 open questions. These questions, whose statistical analysis was done by the program SPSS, concern 5 main keynotes: a) The students criteria as far as the selection of the Department and the Section is concerned, b) The students' expectations, the degree of their satisfaction of the studies, the cources and the practicum as well as their general impressions, c) Their progress after the graduation, if they have continued their studies and the connection between the main and the postgraduate studies, or if they have settled down and the relativeness between the studies and the labor market, d) The assessment and the enrichment of the program studies and e) The graduates' recommendations and their potentials for further education and training in the field of Continuing Education. The first results of this research seem to be very interesting and useful not only for the research in higher education in general but also for the quality in education in Greece.
