Session Information
Contribution
Description: The second contribution of this line proposes to approach the analysis of active reception of the cultural inheritance through enculturation processes, starting from the study of social meanings of art and the artistic (Kindler, Darras & Kuo, 2000).
The analysis of data resulting from talks and observations carried out with children of 4 and 5 years in three differentiated geographical places (Canada, France, and Taiwan) enables to develop the role meanings and values socially attributed to art and artistic practices play in the preconceptions of the young public and consequently, in later processes of appropriation of the cultural inheritance.
