Analysis of innovation in the international arena shows that collaboration between universities and private enterprise can no longer be limited to informal relationships. Instead, it is necessary to implement formal mechanisms for transfer of technology and know-how. This project aims to survey current and innovative transfer mechanisms involving a broad range of transfer channels.-to survey measures of innovation in universities, research institutes and private enterprise, especially in the technological area;-to identify the mechanisms by which technology and know-how is transferred between universities and private enterprise; -to evaluate changes in transfer mechanisms that have taken place in recent years. On the basis of the information obtained and analysed, partial conclusions are been presented to -identify the most significant improvements in transfer mechanisms, and place this information at the disposal of universities and private enterprise;-- extract inferences for the development of training programmes that maximize the effectiveness of R+D+I transfer; and- -propose structural policies regarding training for and transfer of innovationed Cajide, J. et al.
