Session Information
18 SES 04, Education for Sustainable Health and Well-Being (Part 1)
Symposium: to be continued in 18 SES 05
Contribution
This symposium is thematic, spanning key foci (a) Sustainable communities and (b) Education for Health and Wellbeing. The third paper outlines a Case Study outlining a new multisectoral knowledge exchange platform for increasing physical activity which uses a hybrid architecture to change policy and practice. Through meaningful research in these intersecting these two sub-themes and interrogating this case study, this symposium will critically analyse how Europe can better prepare EU citizens for life long health and wellbeing, using H2020 funding. The Sport Pedagogy Network inspired by its leading researchers refract these subthemes (and case study analysis) within this special symposium to develop a research question which will form the basis of a research bid outlining how physical education, sport and physical activity might contribute to the education of EU citizens for sustainable health and well-being.
