29 SES 14, Creative Connections - Giving New Emphasis to the ‘Voice of the Child’ through Art, European Citizenship and Digital Media
Symposium
Contribution
The present communication reports the process in which the class of 6th grade from the Primary School Dovella from Barcelona , generated through art , their own Idea of Europe. In order to participate in the project and as a form of personal process, the school had as necessity contextualize the place where the CC project would be develop. Contextualizing meant for them, questioning; What I understand by Europe ? And How did I relate with this idea of Europe?. These questions were answered through an artistic process and by the use of the database of Contemporary Art provided by CC Project. These two elements provided the necessary tools to materialize, the ideas of the whole group, into a concrete images and concepts. The use of the artistic process empowered the class to give critical and more current information about what Europe mean for them.
