Topic: Inequitable Access to Knowledge Market in Nigeria : The case of University Education
Research Questions:
1. Do the prices(school fees) charged in the knowledge market(Universities) make it equitably accessible ?
2. What are the private unit costs of the knowledge market (universities) in Nigeria ?
3. Is there a significant difference between the private unit costs of Federal and State Universities in Nigeria ?
Objectives of the study:
1. to assess the prices(school fees) being charged in the knowledge market of university education with a view to determining the extent of its accessibility.
2. to assess the private unit costs of both Federal and State universities to determine if a stastical significant difference exists between the two in terms of cost and
3. to determine the implications of the extent of the knowledge market's accessibility on the National Development.
Theoretical framework:
This study is anchored on the ' Scandinavian Countries Model' which posulates that university education should be free and all university students should be eligible for scholarships or student loans
