Video Poster Session
Contribution
We are a group of people doing their PhD in the field of Arts Education. We have different backgrounds and interests but we a share a common space and a common desire for this intervention. This will be an interventive and disruptive practice taking place as a 'poster'.
We will reflect and explore the notion of transition in education, particularly in arts education. What are we talking about when we say 'transition?' Are we talking about the passage from one space to another? The emergence of a new paradigm? A space in which we still live, and in which the things that do not work are not still death, and the not yet known of an abyss?
We know that change needs rupture. One of the reasons why we are using the format of 'poster, and within it, the creation of a video-performance, is because we do not want to present a paper. We will materialize, through the artistic exploration of image, sounds, movements, words our feeling in relation to the idea of transition in arts education and academia. In this, different articulations will emerge, that are intimately related with the process of work itself.
