Contribution

The aim of this central and this recurring workshop is to draw together all the presenters to Network 20 in order to build a small research community which will work together during the conference. Through active engagement of the participants, we will build a shared understanding of the beliefs and values, which underpin focuses and challenges in Network 20. We will share our own research background and present activities so that we are not strangers when the presentations take place. Through these activities, we will work at building what Maxine Greeme has called 'common-ground'. Similar sessions at previous conferences have proved very successful in building a sense of community amongst presenters to Network 20 for the duration of the conference.

Method

This is an active workshop which uses techniques from team training techniques, Drama education and creative methodologies to focus on multicultural community of learners. This year the Zero session will aim at producing video clips which highlights the Network and its activities etc.

Expected Outcomes

This session is supposed to produce a shared understanding of the beliefs and values which underpin Network 20 so that the presentations are more effective and take place within a community of learning. Furthermore this session is aimed at producing informative material for the Network 20 homepage.
