Contribution
This research focuses on experiences and results of two scientific events in which the video format was used as a means of scientific diffusion. We named this format "Video Poster" which means that the scientific content is presented through a video, allowing participants to access conferences during and after those events. (FREITAS, SCHIMID, TAVARES, 2014). Universities or other organizations are applying this same format for scientific dissemination, but with different names such as Video-Paper, video-notes, e-paper or paper video. The objective of our research is to describe the process of using videos for the development of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). Furthermore, we want to demonstrate how this kind of strategy could yield open education resources at different levels of education: primary, medium and higher education. Our aim is to present the experience gained with this concept and discuss the importance of reducing the time between the disclosure of research and presentation of results to society. Likewise we will describe the process of popularizing science with the assistance of digital media, with a focus on video format which emphasises the visualization and analysis of the "video print" information in the events studied. The events in the study were: The 5th Latin American Meeting on Sustainable Buildings and Communities (ELECS 2013), carried out in Brazil every two years, and another event called ELECS EURO-2015, held in Portugal. This kind of events aims to disseminate information and knowledge to the scientific community focusing on the issues on sustainability by using ICT as a tool for dissemination. (GUIMARÃES, J. A. C., SANTOS, A. Y. D., CÂNDIDO, G. G., & PINHO, F. A., 2014). Our study describes the methodological steps involved in making a "video print", including their presentation at the events and their broadcasting on official Youtube® channels. The results of the discussion in the two events were taken to a plenary, which would project the "Future Directions of research in sustainability", according to the relevant topic each day: materials, urban or buildings. These ideas about "video print" presented thus far have had a positive impact and seem to be accepted by the younger scientific community.
